MEET THE TEAM
Jordan has over 18 years' experience in the industry having spent the last 16 years at Commercial Express.
A primary function of Jordan’s roles during his time with Commercial Express was the running of schemes from an underwriting profitability point of view for insurers, as well as working closely with agents to develop products and schemes.
Having worked for a Lloyd’s coverholder for the majority of his career, Jordan has amassed great knowledge on the running of Lloyd’s binders and experienced many MGUs and how they work. This stands him in good stead to develop a new, forward thinking MGU.
Jon’s experience in the insurance industry spans over 16 years and has worked a variety of administrative, team leader, commercial combined & package underwriting roles.
Having spent his career with AIG, most recently as a portfolio underwriter, Jon has been responsible for managing several schemes across a variety of industries for SME clients.
As well as being Cert CII qualified, Jon has also focused on the relationship side of his role obtaining Customer Service NVQ certifications.
He is keen to build profitable portfolio accounts by developing new opportunities using his knowledge of the market and underwriting expertise for Cedar.
Richard has worked in the insurance industry for 16 years, gaining an understanding of various areas of the industry during that time.
Due to the various roles undertaken, Richard has a real understanding of what both coverholders and insurers want in terms of management and business information.
His roles have included Schemes Sales and Underwriting, Team and Project Management and Data Analysis.
Richard is Cert CII qualified and through his most recent position of Business Support Co-ordinator for a commercial broker, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new Analyst role within Cedar.
MI & Bordereau Analyst
Cal is a former student of Loughborough University where he graduated with a degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, learning a number of skills including cyber security methods and programming for web applications.
Working at Cedar as a Product Developer is Cals first post-graduate role. He will be developing software to create new systems and improve existing ones. His methodical and logical approach to software development makes him a valued member of the team.
Helen has worked in the insurance industry for 25 years, most of the time as a property and liability underwriter with Aviva Insurance dealing with
mid-market to larger accounts.
Other experience includes working as a broker and most recently, at Commercial Express as a technical underwriter. At the start of Helen’s insurance career, she was the first person in the UK to complete the Modern Apprenticeship in Insurance which included NVQ Levels 2 & 3 Customer Service and The CII Certificate of Proficiency.
Technical Underwriting Manager and Compliance Administrator
Helen has worked in the insurance industry for 20 years, the majority of the time for NIG and Liverpool Victoria looking after the existing Business Insurance account.
Providing excellent levels of service, Helen worked closely with her Brokers obtaining the correct level of cover for their Clients, solving problems and dealing with anything from accounts queries to claims referrals.
Helen has experience training other staff in underwriting, policy wordings, processes and procedures and is ACII qualified
Rich has more than five years’ experience in the insurance industry, focusing on commercial insurance including property, SME and catering.
His previous role was a property owners underwriter at Commercial Express. During this time, Rich developed great customer service skills and extensive product knowledge.
Rich has always helped managers through his various roles using his excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel to get the best management information available. It is this experience and his logical approach to data that will allow Rich to continually develop the all-important MI platform for Cedar and their clients.
MI & Bordereau Analyst
Jo started work in the insurance industry 18 years ago when completing an apprenticeship in Business Administration.
She then developed and progressed her career to work in several roles including Office Administrator, Insurance Account Handler, Team Leader & Operations Coordinator.
Over the years Jo has developed her management skills, offering support to the business and its staff in many areas.
Further knowledge has been gained from working with Business Finance to help ensure smooth running of the business.
